Where do I go for tutoring?
Answer
Where do I go for tutoring?
WVC has a couple of options for tutoring depending on the type of tutoring you are looking for.
The Success Center
The Success Center is for general tutoring and is temporarily located in the North Walk portables.
Free tutoring and materials are available to help students develop study skills and plans, manage their time, stay organized, learn and review course material, develop written and critical thinking skills, practice problem-solving, and learn how to study "smarter" (not harder) in a differentiated, engaged, and active manner.
ALL Success Center Tutors can help students navigate Canvas and several can help with Google Docs/Forms/Sheets, Microsoft Office, Zoom and with Basic I.T. assistance.
The Math Resource Center
The Math Resource Center (MRC) provides free, drop-in, individual tutoring both in person and online for all math students in all levels of math.
In addition to in-person tutoring, the MRC classroom (SM 5) is open to all WVC math students as a work and study space. Students have access to the group tables, study rooms, whiteboards, and computer stations located in the MRC.
Math tutoring is also available virtually via the WVC Success Center, accessed through the Canvas dashboard.
